Qigong describes exercises that promote internal health, stability, longevity, and well-being.  Based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine and philosophy, qigong builds new vitality and deep relation with continued practice and age.  The healing tones of this qigong, coordinated with movements, focus on healing specific organs and channels of the body.

Yoga for Stress Relief

Clear a space in your life for well being and balance! This 90 minute workshop, we will explore variations on yoga postures that can help to release tension in the areas where the body most often carries tension: the neck, shoulders, back, and hips. Class will also include restorative and supported poses, as well as guided breath-work to quiet the emotions. Although some knowledge of yoga is helpful, this class is appropriate for practitioners of all levels.

Over five weeks, we will discuss the basic equipment (mat, blocks, etc.), class etiquette and dynamics, and some guidelines to protect yourself from injury as you explore yoga classes.  You will sample some basic postures and breathing techniques.  Emphasis will be on answering your questions so you can choose confidently an appropriate class for you.

Emotion InMotion

Sunday November 10th @10:30 am & Friday November 22nd @ 6pm

This is a workshop for ALL levels of experience. You will be guided through a warm up inspired by yoga and then into group improvisational exercises. Come and develop your awareness of relationships, space, time, energy while refining the connection to your body. Experience DANCE as a medium for COMMUNITY!
